My Review of Eat Fit Go
When I am not completely feasting on melted cheese I try to make good choices and eat healthy.
It's hard for me, as I completely despise cooking and never make time for it in my schedule. That’s why I turn to fast, premade options.
I have recently noticed that Eat Fit Go has been taking over KC! They have locations in Shawnee, Olathe, Overland Park, Westwood and Prairie Village.
Eat Fit Go "provides a simple solution to eating healthy on the go!" Walk into one of their stores, grab a basket, look through the fridges for what you'd like to eat, and check out!
“You are what you eat; that’s our motto”
Eat Fit Go aims to revolutionize the way America thinks about food by providing healthy, delicious options for people on the go.
At first glance…
I love that their stores are small and to the point - their message holds true throughout even their stores - it's quick and simple. Each store has tables, chairs and a microwave / prepping station for those who would like to prepare or eat their meal inside the store.
Their fridges are labeled and color coded - orange is breakfast, green is lunch and dinner, purple is lunch and dinner with chicken, red is snacks, dark green is vegetarian, and there is another small area for kids meals.
On their website they have dairy free, gluten-free, low carb and soy free filter options, as well.
Each individual food package shows a description, an expiration date, how to prep in the microwave, and nutrition facts.
But how does it taste?
I found that each meal was large enough that I could split it into two or three smaller meals. With this I was able to make my three meals and snack choice last all of the work week without trouble.
Final Thoughts
I am someone who prioritizes convenience over all else when it comes to eating healthy. Eat Fit Go is extremely convenient for me. There is a location on my way to work and near my apartment. They open at 7am so I can make it part of my commute to work. I don’t have to prepare anything so I can spend my time working out or hanging out instead of cooking.
Though it can get expensive, $7 - $12 a meal is worth it to me, because they are big, healthy meals.
What’s next? I am excited to see what the the “MyEFG” Loyalty Program gets me as I continue buying meals. I have not yet tried the online ordering system Eat Fit Go’s website offers, but I'm thinking I will soon!
